Upcycled Rare Vintage Emilio Pucci Italian Military Scarf Top

This one-of-a-kind scarf top was upcycled from an exceptionally rare vintage Emilio Pucci silk scarf sourced in Florence, Italy. Originally created for the Italian military, the scarf commemorates its tradition of spiritual and religious service, represented through heraldic insignia, ceremonial gold detailing, and the Italian tricolor.

The history behind this textile makes it an especially meaningful piece of Pucci ephemera. Before becoming one of Italy’s most celebrated fashion designers, Emilio Pucci served as an officer and pilot in the Italian Air Force during World War II, receiving multiple decorations for military valor. His military background adds a fascinating dimension to this unusual commissioned design.

Rendered in brilliant royal blue with ivory, red, green, and gold, the scarf centers an elaborate coat of arms surrounded by tricolor ribbon detailing and a ceremonial gold-fringe motif. The original composition has been carefully preserved in the placement of the top, allowing the scarf’s symbolism and history to remain the focal point. Crafted from 100% silk twill and fully lined in silk, it is finished with a softly draped cowl neckline and adjustable open tie-back silhouette.
